Dr. Scott M. Brown is a board-certified Physician Assistant and the Chief Operating Officer of Hometown Family Medical Centers. With over 25 years of clinical experience spanning emergency medicine, primary care, and addiction medicine, Dr. Brown brings a rare blend of clinical depth, operational leadership, and lived experience to the heart of rural healthcare.
He earned his Doctor of Medical Science (DMS) degree from Butler University and has dedicated his career to restoring trust in the provider–patient relationship, especially in underserved communities. His professional journey includes founding multiple rural health clinics, serving in executive roles, and designing integrated care models that unite physical, mental, and addiction medicine under one roof.
As a provider in long-term recovery, Dr. Brown also serves as a national advocate for reducing stigma in healthcare and improving access to evidence-based treatment for substance use disorder. His work is driven by a deep commitment to compassionate care and the belief that every patient deserves to be seen, heard, and healed close to home.
