Celebrating Labor Day and America’s Healthcare Achievements

Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. It is a day set aside to recognize the dedication, hard work, and contributions of American workers. Since becoming a federal holiday in 1894, Labor Day has honored the people whose skills and determination have helped build and strengthen our country.

This Labor Day, Hometown Family Medical Centers would also like to recognize the remarkable contributions of America’s healthcare professionals. Through innovation, research, and compassionate care, our nation has achieved life-changing advancements such as vaccines, antibiotics, medical imaging, organ transplantation, improved emergency care, and more effective treatments for many chronic and serious illnesses.

These accomplishments would not be possible without the physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, researchers, pharmacists, laboratory professionals, emergency responders, support staff, and countless others who work every day to improve and protect the health of our communities.

We are proud to serve Newaygo and the surrounding areas, and we are grateful for every hardworking individual who helps make our community a wonderful place to live.

In observance of Labor Day, Hometown Family Medical Centers will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026. We will resume our regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
